Year R Sept 2021 - Transition Information

Dear Parents and Carers

We are very excited about your children joining the Harrison family and want to ensure we do all we can to make their journey into school as smooth as possible.

Normally at this time of year we would be inviting you into school to a new parents’ meeting; as COVID restrictions are still in place across school our transition arrangements have had to change. There will be an opportunity for you to visit us with your children before the end of term which we could not do last year; see below.

Between now and the end of term we will be in contact regularly in readiness for September 2021. Our intention is to get to know you and your children a little better over the next few weeks and allow you to get to know the Harrison Year R team too, as I am sure that you have many questions for us..

We will be inviting you in the coming weeks to an after school 'Songs and Rhymes' session with the Year R team. The Teachers 2 Parents booking system will be made available to you during the w/c 14th June 2021 so you can sign up accordingly.

These sessions will be an opportunity to invite you into school to introduce you and your child to the Year R base. During your visit you will be able to sign up for a home visit which will take place at the beginning of September.
