Harrison Headlines - Friday 6th November 2020

The children have settled back very well into school following the half term break. We are also pleased to report that our school is still Covid free.

Please can we ask that in the event of any member of your household testing positive for COVID19 or you have been asked to self-isolate, please email to let us know or telephone the school office during school hours.

Thank you to everyone who entered the HSA Autumn Art Competition over the half term. In the end we received 172 entries over all year groups—a fantastic result!  We were all very impressed by the effort of the participants, their creativity and artistic flair.  The entries were judged blind by the staff and we’re pleased to announce the winners are:

Maha (Year R)  Pippa (Year 1)  Vladimir (Year 2), Riley (Year 3), Rosie (Year 4), Lucas (Year 5) and Elliott (Year 6) - Congratulations!

With so many fabulous entries it was a very close competition. The parent/guardian of each winner will be contacted shortly by the HSA to organise distribution of their child’s £25 voucher.

An extra well done to Maha (Year R) and Rosie (Year 4) who were chosen by the HSA Senior Committee as the overall winner of KS1 and KS2 respectively. They have also won a Halloween bucket of goodies donated by M&S Whiteley.

If the competition has helped to spark your child’s love of all things art, please check out the HSA Design Your Own Christmas Cards/Personalised Products Fundraiser (further details can be found in the email entitled ‘Christmas Card’ that was sent by school on 16th October 2020  and on the HSA Facebook page). The new deadline for online orders is Friday 13th November.

Many thanks, the HSA

Best wishes and keep safe.
