Many congratulations to the Harrison Choir for their amazing carol singing this month! Combined with other local schools, they have helped raise a grand total of £559.50 for Marie Curie Cancer, as well as fund raising for Hampshire Autistic Society the following week, by singing in Fareham Shopping Centre.
They also sang at the Christmas Lunch Club for Senior Citizens at Holy Trinity Church, and were accompanied by children from our new Harrison Community Club, who had designed and hand made some beautiful Christmas cards for everyone at the lunch and they proudly handed these out!
Mrs Bourner (ex-staff member who organises the Christmas lunch club) said that the Harrison Choir and Community Club were ‘a real credit to the school, to their parents, and most of all to themselves’ and that the Senior Citizens had had a wonderful time being entertained!
I would personally like to thank each member of the choir who came on the trips, for their hard work, commitment, enthusiasm and their passion for singing!
It was also the first time the Year 2 choir members had taken part in our Christmas trips, and they sang their hearts out! Well done to every single choir member – I am so proud of you ALL!!! Miss Dea
