Dear All
A number of parents have expressed extreme concern regarding the lack of social distancing at drop off and pick up times.
We are aware that other schools are closing pods and sending children home from classes as the number of cases of COVID-19 increase within their school communities; to date we have avoided this.
Please can all parents do all they can to reduce congestion outside the school gates. This means that everyone must observe social distancing to minimise risks to us all.
In future:
Most importantly please can everyone try to be polite and respectful - inside the school gates we are trying hard to instil in our children a responsibility to be respectful and polite. The team at Harrison is doing its best to keep the school open and provide them with the security and predictability that they need.
We do understand that these times are 'trying' and inconvenient for everyone however whilst a global pandemic continues please support our school community by minimising the risks to us all.
If you have any concerns about the social distancing measures that have been put in place outside the school gates please email
or log your comments on the Hampshire website below which will help us to gain further support from the county council:
Thank you for your co-operation and understanding.
Kind regards
Sara Gmitrowicz, Head teacher and David Moorman, Chair of Governors
