Be Bright Be Seen Day

On Friday the 13th of October our Junior Road Safety Officers (JRSOs) have decided to run a "Be Bright, Be Seen" day at our school. As we are approaching autumn it is important that the children understand the reason for being bright and being seen whilst out walking, scooting, skating and cycling in the dark. In winter it can often be dark on the journeys to and from school. The JRSOs will be promoting this road safety message throughout the day and they would like all pupils to wear their brightest clothes on this day. The JRSOs would also like the pupils to bring in £1 for this mufti day (non-uniform day) which will go to the HSA (Harrison School Association). This is to be sent in with your child to hand to their teacher on the 13th. Please remember that Harrison Road is a very busy road with a high volume of traffic and a large number of pedestrians crossing. Abiding with the highway-code including parking regulations is essential for the safety of all our children. Don't forget that you are able to park at the Leisure Centre and Sainsbury's to "park and stride". Many Thanks JRSO team
